Shave Every Day. And shave well. At any point an Instructor might be looking for a reason to beat your class. A bad shave, a single missed hair under your chin, is reason enough. Make sure you shave every day. I shaved every night before bed, but I can get away with that because I don’t grow much facial hair. If you’re a hairy Wookie like some guys in my class, you may be shaving at lunch, too. It doesn’t matter if you shaved that morning - if a grumpy Master Chief from one of the Teams walks by and sees what appears to be an unsatisfactory shave, he’ll make a phone call. That phone call sucks. It won’t matter that you shaved that morning - it will only matter that someone perceived that you hadn’t. End of story, game over. So don’t give them the chance.
